How can I become a member of the library?

Our university staff and students can become members of our library. You can become a member after coming to the library and filling out the membership form. Other researchers can benefit from library services with the permission of our Presidency.

How do I find the book I'm looking for in the library? "Open Shelf System" 

is implemented in our library . According to this system, the user performs a "Catalog Search" on the website of our library to find the book he is looking for . If the book he is looking for is available in our library, it determines whether the book is on the shelf by looking at the status information. If the book is on the shelf, it takes the book number and If he cannot find the book he is looking for on the shelf, he can request help from the relevant personnel.

What are non-borrowed resources?

Application works (dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes, almanacs, annuals, atlases, etc.), periodicals, printed graduate and doctoral theses, manuscripts and rare printed works, maps and slides, CD-ROMs, video and tape cassettes, etc. materials, reserved books, musical notes, collection pieces, artistic materials, etc. and materials that are inconvenient to be taken out of the library by the Department cannot be borrowed.

For how many days are the resources loaned out?

University staff; Maximum 5 (five) books for 30 (thirty) days, graduate and doctorate students; Maximum 4 (four) books for 20 (twenty) days, undergraduate students; They can borrow a maximum of 3 (three) books for a period of 15 (fifteen) days.

What are the book delay penalties?

The user who does not return the borrowed book on time will be charged a daily delay fee of 0,30 TL (Thirty Kurus) for each book, starting from the day following the expiry date.

Can I access databases from off campus?

Our university staff and students can access the databases from outside the institution via Vetis.
